Some of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned have come through personal experience—years of playing competitive softball, serving in the U.S. Air Force, and undergoing major surgeries on both my hand and hip just a year apart. My journey from patient to clinician began where I started as a strength coach in Georgia after earning my Bachelor's in Exercise Science from Columbus State University. After fully transitioning out of the military, I began my path to earning both a Master's and Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Augustine.
I began my clinical career in Miami, specializing in upper extremity rehab and working with a wide range of athletes—from high-level competitors to professionals, but everything shifted when we moved to Yuma. As a mom of young athletes, I suddenly found myself on the other side of the table again—navigating injuries and struggling to find timely, quality outpatient care for my own kids. Despite my own background and training, the process was frustrating and eye-opening.
That gap became my motivation. I founded Valor Health to bring high-level, personalized, athlete-focused care to our local community. At Valor, we combine rehab and performance, take the time to listen, and build recovery around your story. This is a place for strength, resilience, and lasting healing—where we walk with you every step of the way.
From a young age, I was immersed in the world of occupational therapy, growing up alongside my brother who has cerebral palsy and autism. I naturally became the bridge between medical professionals and my family—translating, advocating, and learning firsthand the value of skilled therapy. Living in Yuma, access to consistent services was a constant challenge. While Phoenix offered more specialized care, the cost and distance made it unrealistic for my family to travel there regularly. As a result, we often had to seek support across the border in Mexicali to get my brother the therapy he needed.
These experiences fueled my passion to become an occupational therapist—one who could help fill the gap for families like mine. I witnessed the transformative power of OT through my brother’s journey: how it gave him an outlet to express himself, engage in play, and make meaningful progress toward independence. This foundation led me to earn my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) from Northern Arizona University, following a Bachelor's in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University, where I deepened my understanding of injury prevention, anatomy, and neurorehabilitation.
As both a clinician and a lifelong athlete who has raised children in competitive sports, I bring a unique perspective that blends pediatric care with performance-based rehabilitation. I’m deeply committed to the Yuma community, and I strive to provide high-quality, evidence-based therapy while continuously expanding local resources and education—ensuring all families have the support and opportunities they deserve.

Before stepping into performance coaching and rehab, I was fortunate to play collegiate softball at Arizona Western College, where our team made a run to third place in the NJCAA World Series. I continued my playing career at Angelo State, where we won a Division II National Championship, and I was later honored to be inducted into the Angelo State Hall of Honor. I also had the opportunity to compete internationally at the Canada Cup, facing off against national teams from around the world. Those experiences showed me how to compete and lead with a purpose.
I earned my Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and a Master’s in Sports Management, which led to over a decade working in the academic and interscholastic world. Being named Yuma County Teacher of the Year reflected the relationships, trust, and growth we built with every student who came through the door.
After stepping away from full-time coaching to pursue real estate, I stayed rooted in sport — continuing to work with youth athletes chasing big goals, college players coming back from injury, and pros looking for that extra edge.
At Valor, I bring a coach’s heart, a competitor’s mindset, and a deep love for the process. Let’s get after it.
I lead athletes through personalized strength, mobility, and performance training programs. With a Bachelor's in Sports and Exercise Science and my background as a collegiate softball athlete, I bring a unique blend of hands-on experience and academic knowledge to my coaching.
I'm passionate about helping individuals of all ages—especially those involved in softball and baseball where development of speed, agility, coordination, and confidence in their movement is central. Whether I'm working with beginners or competitive athletes, I strive to create a positive, challenging, and supportive environment where performance and personal growth go hand in hand.
As a performance coach with a Bachelor's in Health Science: Fitness Wellness and as a certified Exercise Physiologist, I’m passionate about helping clients improve both physically and mentally. At VALOR, I create personalized fitness and rehabilitation programs that align with each individual’s health status and goals.
Currently, I’m working toward a Master’s in Athletic Training at Northern Arizona University, with the goal of becoming a certified athletic trainer here at VALOR.
Outside of work, I stay active through strength training, running, and playing soccer—activities that keep me grounded in the challenges and rewards of performance training. My mission is to empower others to reach their full potential through fitness, wellness, and resilience.
With 24 years in the U.S. Army, I served as a Parachute Rigger and Master Resiliency Trainer, as well as a leader in the Army’s physical training program—helping soldiers stay mission-ready through strength, endurance, and mindset training. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership and am about to complete my Master’s in the same field.
Before the Army, I competed in baseball, water polo, swimming, and soccer. While stationed in Germany, I played low-level professional soccer and baseball, continuing to pursue my love for competition. I also earned spots on the All-Army and All-Armed Forces softball teams and competed on the major softball circuit. In 2002, I was invited to try out for the Miami Marlins and offered a Single-A contract but returned to my military commitment.
Today, I co-own Valor Health with my wife Amanda, where I focus on sport-specific training and reformer workouts for athletes—combining decades of performance experience with a passion for helping others grow.
With over 18 years of experience in front office administration, medical, and dental billing, I've built my career on precision, dedication, and genuine care for others. Working within various healthcare settings has given me a deep understanding of insurance systems, coding and patient advocacy. I aim to make those processes as smooth and stress free as possible for both patients and providers.
My passion goes far beyond numbers and claims; it's about supporting my community and helping people get the care they deserve without confusion or added pressure. At Valor Health, I'm proud to be a trusted resource, known for my integrity, compassion, and commitment to service.
I’m a dedicated rehab tech with two years of hands-on experience supporting physical and occupational therapists helping patients recover, rebuild, and regain strength.
